Changing ticker symbol/security

I have had shares with a company and have been following the share price via Moneydance. However Moneydance stopped tracking the share price around July 2017 and I think this is because the company changed name and ticker symbol. How can I now change the company name and symbol to once again follow share prices without losing the historical price information?
