US Stock in a Canadian Currency account

I have a brokerage account that is in Canadian currency. I hold a couple of stocks in the account that trade in the US so any price information that I can download is always in US dollars. I am wondering how best to handle this in my MoneyDance investment account. Can I set the security up as US $ or should I set it up as Cdn and plan on converting the prices offline.

I would appreciate suggestions on how best to handle this situation.

I am using MoneyDance 2017.5 and my default currency is Cdn dollars.
