How can i fix that? I also recently moved a mutual fund from Vanguard to Schwab and the transfer info as picked up by Moneydance was not even close. $100 fund price and no number of shares. This has been happening for a few months now.

atwood.ttag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/447714082018-02-22T21:24:07Z2018-02-22T21:24:07ZAll fund and stock prices defaulting to $100 on brokerage downloads

I'm a fellow user.

If it is in transactions like dividends and the value is in a grey colour then it is expected behaviour and the "value" is nothing more than a placeholder and is not used anywhere.

I agree that even if a placeholder is required by the software it should not be shown to the user.

dwgtag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/447714082018-02-28T18:47:33Z2020-11-11T01:39:44ZAll fund and stock prices defaulting to $100 on brokerage downloads

Thanks for the info. Seems like dividends are the main culprit. However, I moved one mutual fund from Vanguard to Schwab and the transfer for both accounts was not correct in Moneydance. Wrong share numbers and the fund price set at 100. These issues combined with the lack of stock price updates is very frustrating to say the least. Hard to use Moneydance to track investments anymore.

Tom

atwood.ttag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/447714082018-03-17T12:36:01Z2018-03-17T12:36:03ZAll fund and stock prices defaulting to $100 on brokerage downloads

I have the same problem when recording dividends. "$100" is placed in the "Price" cell and is gray and not accessible to me (i.e., Can't be deleted). To make matters worse it records the $100 on the "Securities Details" page as a cost so that every time I post dividends for stock a "purchase of no shares" is recorded as having cost me $100. The ultimate result is that it inflates the actual cost of buying the stock. Recording 10 dividends for an individual stock would result in adding $1000 to my cost basis. How can this problem be eliminated??

Skiptag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/447714082018-04-09T17:05:21Z2018-04-09T17:05:21ZAll fund and stock prices defaulting to $100 on brokerage downloads

I agree. the issue does not appear to be download related as I have the problems with manual dividend entries. This is really annoying as it completely distorts the price graph. It was fixed in the previous release but the problem seems to have come back in the new release. Can this be fixed please?

PaulFtag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/447714082018-04-09T17:22:11Z2018-04-09T17:22:11ZAll fund and stock prices defaulting to $100 on brokerage downloads

Think that this is now fixed for the graph as problems disappeared when I deleted a rogue $100 in the history file.

PaulFtag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/447714082020-11-11T01:53:11Z2020-11-11T01:53:13ZAll fund and stock prices defaulting to $100 on brokerage downloads

This issue is still not fixed. When I download from Merrill I get two entries for dividend re-investment. One is listed as: Xfr and includes the amount of the dividend that was transferred to my account for a particular stock. The next action is: BuyXfr which is the transaction where the dividend shares for a particular stock are added to the account. In all cases the share price for the BuyXfr transaction is $100. This $100 value is also in my security history for each of the stocks. This makes it impossible to use Moneydance for Networth unless I manually change both the stock price in the BuyXfr transaction and in the price history for every stock that has dividend re-invest. As soon as another dividend re-investment is downloaded the price history shows the latest transaction as $100. Manually changing dozens of stock prices every month just to get a Networth is a non-starter as the reason for using Moneydance is to automate processes and not require massive manual intervention. Far easier to use the consolidation capabilities of my brokerage for networth.

atwood.t
