The 2019 compatible version of the quote loader has not been released yet. It undergoing testing. A lot changed under the bonnet of 2019 including a move from java 1.8.0_162 to java 11.0.1 and how 2019 handle non-base currency securities has meant changes to the Quote Loader system. With the changes the new version of Quote Loader appears to be working fully on Windows, further testing is required for Mac. Not long now to release.

Hi shiner03

The PDF in post 200 at http://help.infinitekind.com/discussions/investments/3771-third-par...
has never contained a virus.

Another user posted a word document that contained questions. Norton Security software detected a possible virus and deleted the document before it could be opened. The user was informed and posted a warning to others not to download his document. Looks like only support can delete attachments.

Bottom line it's completely safe to download the PDF in post 200 and use the links to download the Quote Loader elements. Hundreds of happy users are now using Quote Loader.

I recently added a security (Fidelity Bond Index; FXNAX) that shows up at the top of the list in the Quote Loader interface. However, when I click the button to update prices, the price of this particular security is the last one to download/populate. Fwiw, I use YahoO! as the source for all quotes.

Said another way, I have 9 total securities listed. When I update prices, they update (switch from yellow to green) in the order in which they are listed from #2 to #9, and then #1 loads last.

This doesn't have any effect on the performance of the Quote Loader, it's just a curious anomaly. It seems that the most recently added securities update last, regardless of where they appear in the (alphabetical) list. But it's not clear to me how the Quote Loader keeps track or makes this determination.

exigenttag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/460376862018-12-28T20:48:42Z2018-12-28T20:48:42ZThird-party Quote Loader System for 2017

The QL tool is pulling information on what it needs to download from your data set, so I suspect it is the order of the stored securities in the data set that determines the download order.

dwgtag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/460376862018-12-29T22:48:21Z2018-12-29T22:48:21ZThird-party Quote Loader System for 2017

The quotes seem to be retrieved in save order if using one site. Just to check I set everything to Do not load and saved parameters. I then set quotes 1 and 3 through 6 to Yahoo and saved parameters. Finally I set quote 2 to FT and saved parameters.
Although last saved, the quote from FT loaded first. So there's a little alphabetical order too. It looks to me like save order by site. FT retrieved in save order, then Yahoo in save order.
If you want all to load top to bottom AND you use only one site for retrieval - Start QL; change all to Do not load; Save Parameters. Now starting with quote 1, sequentially change the retrieval site and Save Parameters. Reverse procedure if you want to load bottom to top.
There's an issue with reading QL column headings (Select, Ticker, etc.) in Kubuntu 1804 LTS, QL 2125, MD beta 2127. QL seems to not be detecting background color and changing font color appropriately; maybe not detecting color scheme. The problem was also in beta 2126. Screen capture attached.
Hi Jesse

You should not be running Quote Loader 2125 in MD 2019 beta.
Please take another look at post 220 in this thread. Other elements are or will be of different builds for 2017 and 2019.
Mike Bray has been working on improving the colour contrast in 2019 and as a result securityquoteload.mx for 2019 is 3002 not 3001 as stated in post 220.
Bottom line the two sets of downloads are not interchangeable. Use the correct download as specified in the PDF.
I am certain Mike will be interested to know if 3002 in 2019 fixes the issue you have seem on Linux.
Thanks for the feedback.

Hope this helps

derekkent23tag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/460376862018-12-30T10:12:46Z2018-12-30T10:12:46ZThird-party Quote Loader System for 2017

As Derek says using build 2125 on Moneydance 2019 will create incorrect prices. For 2019 improve colour contrast, text background, in Quote Loader window for custom themes.
