You must also update to at least the latest released build of Moneydance 2017 at https://infinitekind.com/download-moneydance-personal-finance-software to ensure compatibility.

Thanks, but when I imported the historical .csv file, the quotes in the "Currency/Security History" box (which are correct, with AAPL quotes in the $90s around June 2014) do NOT correspond to the graph at the bottom which shows quotes in June 2014 around $10/share (see screenshot)

PDF outlines new download and install procedure.
WARNING use the correct set of quote loader elements for the version of moneydance you are running or run the risk of corrupting your data set. Don’t use 2019 build element in 2017 or vice versa.

Introduction of the Quote Loader Installer extension.
WARNING use the correct zip release for the version of moneydance you are running or run the risk of corrupting your data set. Don’t use 2019 build release for 2017 or vice versa.

Update PDF to V6.4 to add the statement. "Do Not allow your browser to open this zip file or open the zip file once downloaded. Quote Loader installer is designed to imports the zip file.” See page 3 of PDF.
No other changes with this release.

I'm just jumping in here to say this Quote Loader solves all the problems I was having with the standard Moneydance Quotes and Exchange Rates extension. I have it set to run automatically each day the first time Moneydance starts. It's quick and accurate, where the other one was slow and would sometimes miss updating some quotes.
It's a lot easier to install than the lengthy documentation may lead you to believe.
I am using it only for US market quotes, so I can't speak for how well it works for non-US markets or currency exchange rates.

This is working awesomely thank you very much.
Would it be possible when it pulls the prices that you have a column showing the increase or decrease from the previous price, as well as a total of all the movements at the bottom?

Its unlikely any new features will be added to the 2017 version of Quote Loader other than bug fixes.
Any enhancements will appear in the 2019 version.
Although your requests may fall outside the scope of the Quote Loaders core purpose.

I can't find the YouTube video and Kindle won't open the PDF hypertext. I've searched for all flavors of Moneydance and can only find rich dudes.... actually dancing.
Can you give me a link here or search phrase?
This could be the deal breaker for me because the provided extension doesn't work. Takes way too long and any successful quotes come in with a 0.00 price because I only in mutual funds... Big John Bogle fan here.

To check I just downloaded the PDF in post 248
It open for me and all other user in this thread.
I use Adobe Acrobat Reader DC V2019.010.20099 but any PDF reader should work.
My browser Edge in windows will also open it directly.
On page 1 is the link to the YouTube video, I checked that and it works. The video is unlisted that why you can’t find it using a search engine.
The thread you are reading is Quote loader for 2017.

A different version of Quote Loader with its own PDF and video.
Not sure if you will be using 2017 or 2019 whichever if you still can’t open the PDF I can post the link to which ever video you want to watch.

Looking that your list the only element to be updated is securityquoteload.mxt Updated to build 2127 on January 17th to include the ability to export the data obtained by the Quote Loader in a CSV file format.
The changes since then relate to simplifying the installation method by the use of the Quote Loader installer as described in a new PDF 6.4 and a new YouTube video V6.0 the link to which can be found on page 1 of the PDF, see post 248.
Out of interest if you are already established using 2017 then what are your concerns relating to 2019 regards it’s QIF importer? Are you importing QIF files from your bank?
When you do move to 2019 there is a completely new set of Quote Loader elements plus a new MD installer to make installation and updating even easier.
