Updating security register
On some securities when I add additional shares, the total in the portfolio does not match the total in the register. This does not happen on every security.
I have updated to the latest version 2015.6 (1299) and updated Windows from 8.1 to 10 without any difference.

When you go to the securities detail window for that security is the share count correct? Are all the transaction shown? Are you talking about the portfolio view or portfolio report? Do you have the register and portfolio view open in different windows?

Tom
All the transactions are shown and the total of the share count in the
transaction section is correct. The share count is incorrect in the
securities detail windows and this share count matches the total in the
portfolio view (which is what I was referring to when I said the total
in the portfolio). The share total in the Securities detail/Portfolio
view does not match any combination of transactions. In one security,
the total in the securities detail is between (the total of all
transactions) and (the total of all transactions - the last
transaction). In another security, the total in the securities detail
is between (the total of all transactions) and (the total of all
transactions - the last two transactions).
I have only one window open and just switch between the portfolio view
and the register by clicking on the "Portfolio View/Register/Bank
Register/Securities Detail" menu.
I have just run the portfolio report where the share total also matches
the total in the securities detail/portfolio view but not the total in
the transaction section. This report does open in a separate window.
regards
Charles

You can double click on the account name in the side bar to open in anew window. You can also right click and select open in new window.
Can you attach screen shots of your portfolio view, the securities detail window for one of the affected securities, And a Investment transaction report edited to subtotal by security.

Tom
Opening in a new window has fixed the problem.
Many thanks
Charles
