Capital Gains Report Issue
There appears to be a bug in the Capital Gains report.
If I select to show unrealised Capital Gains and run the report what I get with any shares owned it shows the current market value of the shares, and a cost basis of 0 rather than the purchase value of the shares and an unrealised capital gain value equal to the current market value. This is clearly wrong.

Hi Des,
I can reproduce this behavior if a security's basis is set to 'Avg. Cost'.
When the basis is set to 'Lot Matching' the report seems to generate as expected.

Hi Kevin,
That is one for the books, normally Average cost is the one that works and lot matching the one that fails.
While I would love to have everything set to lot matching (excluding funds) as that is they way we need to handle shares alas I have a large number of return of capital transactions which I can only include in Moneydance if I use Average Cost for those securities,
Looks like this is a bug.

HI Des,
As we discussed on Slack, the bug appears to have reared it's head sometime after MD 2012 (where the cap gains report behaved as expected).

Hi Kevin,
I cannot say when this one came in, I do not often run an unrealised capital gain report so I probably have not tested it in any later release than 2012. I had a couple of issues with MD2014 so got no where near looking at this report before I decided not to upgrade to that release.

I think this bug appeared in an update to 2015 or 2017. I remember it worked fine and then I went to use it to review some unrealised gains and found it producing the market value rather than the gain. Would be great to get this fixed.
