I have an investment account (named Fundsupermart) with several Singapore-listed bonds. I tried the new Quotes/rates loader, and the prices for these bonds which I had manually entered has been overwritten. For one of the bonds, the current price has been changed to 1 from the initial cost/share of 100.65. Please see attached screen shot of the investment account (MD 2019) ... The other thing I noticed was that after downloading the quotes with the extension, the value of this account was shown in a multi-trillion $ amount for about a minute or so. But subsequently, it changed to the $129,580.03 amount shown in the screen shot.

Price data for a mutual fund held in another account, and which I had entered manually previously, also appears to have some erroneous data in the more recent dates. So now I need to manually check the price history for correctness. Currency/Security History for this fund shows current price as $1.652893. The actual current price, from the fund provider, is $1.91 as of 25 Feb 2020 (please see attached screen shot MD 2019 2). Where is the $1.652893 coming from?

Based on this experience, I would suggest MD users use the quote/rate loader extension with extreme caution. I would appreciate suggestions from any user with more experience using the extension on this issue. Thanks.

doktorj707tag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/481211722020-02-27T13:47:45Z2020-02-27T13:47:45ZSecurity prices overwritten after upgrade to MD 2019

In posting this message, I was asked to review some guides related to the security/rate loader. In going thru the steps in the guide, the extension shows "Invalid symbol" for these bonds. This would suggest to me that the extension may not have overwritten the prices I entered manually as I thought.. So I'm left wondering: 1) how the price data was overwritten, and 2) the short period of time when the investment value for the Fundsupermart account showed a multi-trillion $ amount. Appreciate insight from anyone out there. Thanks again.

doktorj707
