Gifting Securities

I can't seem to figure out how to cleanly give a security away. Say I have 10 shares of BofA and I want to give them away (transfer ownership, not sell them and give away the money). It is like simply removing the shares from my portfolio without realizing any gain. I suppose that I could show a sell at $0 per share, but that seems inaccurate. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

You could try a "SellXfr" using your cost basis as the sell price and set the category to one you use for gifts or charitable donations (e.g. Personal:Other:Gifts). This keeps your tax basis and gains accounting accurate and removes the security from your portfolio.
