You might want to get the extension "Quote Loader", im pretty sure it is also configurable to update once a month...

dtdtag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/484248772020-06-25T01:22:18Z2020-06-25T01:22:50ZHow do I update the stock prices to show current price

I'm a fellow user.

As for why your manual entry did not update the value there is a distinction between the price entered and what is considered the current price - this allows for loading of historic prices for example. So if you manually enter a new price and you want it to be the current price you then have to also set it as the current price, it is a two step process.

If you want to manually enter data I would suggest you install the Extension "Security Price Entry" this makes it a lot easier (It is under the menu item Manage Extensions), the standard way of entering price is a bit cumbersome and is not as convenient if you are trying to enter prices for more than one security.

As dantdavis has suggested Quote Loader will allow for the automatic download of monthly data and will set the downloaded price as being the current price.

dwgtag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/484248772020-06-25T06:31:32Z2020-06-25T06:31:32ZHow do I update the stock prices to show current price

I am not support staff, just a user.
Hi Helen

As suggested the way forward could be Quote Loader, give it a try.

Hope this helps.

derekkent23tag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/484248772020-07-01T15:47:37Z2020-07-01T15:47:37ZHow do I update the stock prices to show current price

I second the use of Quote Loader. the one included in MD (Quotes and Exchange Rates Updater) started failing on 5 of my securities, about 10 days ago. It had no problem retrieving them for years now. The MD one took forever to do the updates, I would have to leave MD running for over an hour.

So I bit the bullet this morning, did the Quote Loader install, and read the manual carefully. You do need to read all eight pages once or twice, but it is easy to set up, test, and make work.

My kudos to Mike Bray for an excellent addition

DrgnMastrtag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/484248772020-07-01T20:22:32Z2020-07-01T20:22:32ZHow do I update the stock prices to show current price

I am not support staff, just a user.
