<p>The short answer is don't.</p>
<p>While you may no longer have the security you once did and in all likelihood owning that security involved having interaction with other accounts like transferring funds. If you were to delete the security you also delete all transactions involved with that security which would mean throwing out balances in those accounts.</p>
<p>Unfortunately there is no way to make a security inactive or hide it so the only method to sort of get it out of the way is to prefix say a z to the front of the name to place it at the bottom of the list.</p>
