I logged in, automatically got todays prices. I clicked "retrieve missed prices" and did the right things (like click which I wanted to revise), but nothing happened.

Confused as to how to filli in the blank.

dtdtag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/487236442020-10-14T01:59:58Z2020-10-14T01:59:58ZQuote Loader - retrieve missed prices

I'm a fellow user.

A couple of points.

Only the source Yahoo HD has historical share prices.

Quote Loader will not fill in holes in the Quote history, so If you had prices up until a week ago and then have a price for today it will not fill in the intervening period. If your prices ended a week ago and you have nothing since then it can fill in the intervening prices.

Well, after a week, I log in. I automatically get the new day prices.

I then say to self, "Self, I want to fill in the gap."

Appears the answer is "sorry, you are out of luck. You said to get today's prices."

Any thoughts on how to make this not an issue?

dtdtag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/487236442020-10-14T04:46:12Z2020-10-14T04:46:12ZQuote Loader - retrieve missed prices

In some respects it comes down to the way you use the utility. If you have it on automatic then my approach is to use Yahoo HD, and have it set to retrieve missing prices. In other words to assume I am going to miss some days either by not using the computer or not running Moneydance unless I need to.

If you run it manually well then it really is more up to you, so long as you have not saved the prices then you can rerun the utility with the missing prices options selected.

If you delete the current price then run the utility with missing prices selected it should retrieve the prices.

dwgtag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/487236442020-10-14T04:59:37Z2020-10-14T05:01:07ZQuote Loader - retrieve missed prices

I run it automatically, but the retrieve older prices is fairly new.

I assume if I click it, it stays active?

Will go and delete all today's downloaded prices, a pain, but if only one time, well - I've done much more than that.

dtdtag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/487236442020-10-14T05:11:10Z2020-10-14T05:11:10ZQuote Loader - retrieve missed prices

Make sure you save the parameters.

Yes this is one of the more recent options.

dwgtag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/487236442020-10-14T05:18:00Z2020-10-14T05:19:04ZQuote Loader - retrieve missed prices

Ok, yeah - saved "recent prices" bit.

I don't normally send my computer in for repairs and don't have it for a week.

Deleted all today's changes, clicked the box, and all is copacetic.

A pain, but probably a one time pain.

I assume, with the box checked, this would have been automatic, vs. just downloading the current day?

dtdtag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/487236442020-10-14T05:24:34Z2020-10-14T05:24:34ZQuote Loader - retrieve missed prices

yep

dwg
