The original update to my securities prices was upon first entry of the security after transfer manually from another investment house to UBS in September of this year.

After that I’ve been monthly doing a download of transactions from UBS. Are prices updated from that download, it does not appear to be the case.

All Stock & Market funds are set up to display US Dollars. Using the Quotes and Exchange Rates Extension which I’ve got set to update weekly (but not sure it does it automatically if the app is only opened every 10 days… which is what I do to pay bills.

I believe I found the problem was with one stock, Bell Industries (BLLI) which is no longer traded, I’d entered the wrong share quantity and price.

All seems to be back in line with current rates and transactions.

transaction or more recent use of the extension.

For a weekly setting the extension should update upon the first
opening after the "next update" date.

When you said your funds were set up to display US dollars, The
screen shot did not seem to show current dollar prices for these
holdings.

current price in the thousands of dollars. The cost per share
column is the cost basis. Compare the two.

Can you please attach a screen shot of the quotes and exchange
extension window. If you are updating the price from there.

is obviously in dollars, but the current share price is not. I
wonder if the securities were set in dollars and the investment
account was set in GBP.

Also can you click the advanced tab in the extension. This will
show the currency the prices show in.

Here is an updated Screen Shot with the Advanced tab displaying “Pricing in $’s” was set as basic, I’ve not changed any items.

Again, thanks for your help, it seems I’m good to go.

So although the stocks are in US Dollars, I realized that the account was opened in error with the Currency Type as Indian Rupee’s (INR)… my bad. Now I understand.

I have tried to go into the Accounts and change the Currency Type but I can’t seem to change it as it’s greyed out.

What can I do to put the currency type for the accounts to USD’s?

Thanks,

will involve currency conversions. This is more complicated because
the original transaction look like they have the numbers as if in
dollars but the account is in rupees so MD will convert those
transactions.

The only suggestion I have is to create a new investment account
and populate it with your current data as if establishing a new
account.

Please let me know the best way to do the transfers of each item from the flawed account to a new one I’ll set up.

Thanks and have a very Happy New Year.
