Hi Bob

I can help with question 1.

Try changing from CBDX to CBDX:LSE:USD

Although this security is traded on the London stock exchange it is traded in US Dollars. I assume your base currency for your data set is British Pounds and you have this security set up within Tools – SECURITIES with a currency of British Pounds? If so you need to ensure you are using Quote Loader the obtain the exchange rate for USD so that Quote Loader can do the currency conversion. You need to follow the process on page 5 of the PDF Quote Loader Extension by Mike Bray Moneydance 2019-2020-2021 V9.3 post 198 to be found at https://infinitekind.tenderapp.com/discussions/investments/4914-the...

Using the new ticker and following the process results in the screen shot.

Hope this helps

derekkent23tag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/493347442021-08-12T10:33:04Z2021-08-12T10:33:10ZQuote Loader and Investment Reports extensions

Thank you very much.
I can now see a realistic price when I run "Get Prices" after changing
ticker to
CBDX:LSE:USD
Not sure that I understand the currency part though.
What I have done is to tick "Process Currencies" and put (Currencies) on to
"Daily". Best regards
Bob

Hi Bob

The currency part.
When dealing with securities traded in a non-base currency It’s important that a up to date exchange rate exists so the currency conversion is accurate. Hence the process laid out in the PDF when manually updating prices. NOTE: the exchange rate used for conversion by Quote Loader when entering prices into Moneydance is the last exchange rate in Moneydance not the last exchange rate obtained by Quote Loader on a run. If you are using Auto update see PDF page 7 then It looks like you are doing the right thing by setting to Currency to Daily. But this will result in a small exchange rate conversion error depending how much the exchange rate changes from one day to the next.

Hope this helps

derekkent23
