share prices not adding properly
I have the same security (stock or mutual fund) in several accts (for example regular acct and IRA acct). One or two will download properly with Quote Loader but the same security in a diff acct will not update properly. The ticker symbols are correct and I made the securities the same in each. How do I fix this. I hate manual putting in prices if I don't need to. I had switched from Quicken 2007 and imported in to Moneydance 2021.1

My hunch is that you have setup multiple securities for the same thing in Tools/Securities? Each security should only be listed once and assigned to all investment accounts that need it. Not one different security per account

I am trying to remove the duplicates that came from Quicken but it says “Cannot remove currency that is being used.” How can I remove the duplicates?

Ok. Take a backup. Then install and run toolbox extension. Advanced mode. Securities menu. Merge duplicate securities.

I found and installed toolbox. I set to Advanced mode. I found the Currency and Security tool but do not see a way to Merge duplicate securities. Do I need to download some scripts?

Ah yes, I disabled this feature on earlier versions. The minimum is 2021.2 build 3089 (which no longer exists), so the real minimum is 2022.3.
The reason is that there are critical currency fixes in 2021.2 and the utility relies on these... Your choice to upgrade or not (but there is a fee).
