Incorrect cost basis/unable to match lots (might be related to the fact that the security had a split after three sales)
I don't know whether I am not using the Lots Matching correctly, but I am unable to get the program to "take" the lots I suggest before moving on to the next sale. I understand that by using the Lots Matching method that I will get a more accurate cost basis than the crazy number that the average cost method button yields. It appears that the program simply is not taking my input.
Can someone send me a step by step process for doing lots matching? I don't know whether to click the red dot or OK whenever I get the window that says I have not selected the correct number of shares (which is an erroneous comment in context). I think i am cancelling out my work, but no matter what I try nothing changes.
Please note that I am using MD version 2022.2. Build 4060
