Can you explain why ‘extract data’ extension ‘didn’t work’?

Hi Stuart,
When I extract the data using "Investment Transactions" and use the default
settings. A CSV file is produced. But when I try to upload that CSV to
Yahoo Finance it fails....so not sure I i need to change the settings or
use different format?
Thanks,
James

Ok. There’s no way that will work. The extract has not been formatted for a Yahoo Finance portfolio csv upload. Sorry. You could do it if you played with the data.

That's unfortunate. Would have been wonderful to able to quickly extract
the data for use in Yahoo Finance

I did just have a play and the yahoo format is not published. You have to extract to get their format and then massage the data. It seems to be based on lots (buys/sells).
Out of interest, is the MD portfolio screen no good for you? Or perhaps the extract-data: stockglance2020 screen?

It's helpful and also use the Stock Glance extension. However, the update
frequency is limited to daily or greater. I can manually enter and maintain
my investments in Yahoo or Google but that is too labor intensive.
I like keeping a close eye on my investments, especially given the current
volatility of the markets

Out of interest, do you care about the buy/sell txns in the yahoo portfolio, or just want the total shares and costs per security?

Yes, this way I could monitor stock performance based on cost basis

Sorry, yes what? You can still manage the stock performance with just a total line?

Sorry, you are correct. A total line would work.
