Good luck trying to link to Schwab. Moneydance spontaneously quit downloading my Schwab brokerage transactions without warning almost a year ago. I tried to use Moneydance+ to download bank transactions. I would have been elated to pay for Moneydance+ if it had not sabotaged all my account logins and permanently attached itself to Moneydance like incurable cancer! Do NOT use Monedance+. It appears that InfiniteKind has been massively scammed by the Moneydance+ software developers.

I'm sorry about the problems with connecting to Schwab that started last year, however that was out of our control. I'm the developer of Moneydance and Moneydance+ and owner of The Infinite Kind, which is the small company that makes both products.
As of last week we released an update to Moneydance which can now connect to Schwab via Moneydance+. If you like I'd be happy to get you set up with it, but I understand if you're too uncomfortable to give it another try.

Just to chime in, MD+ is an optional part of MD. You can stop paying and it will deactivate. HOWEVER, Schwab has declared that it is the only connection method they will support (3rd party aggregators).
I put off for awhile updating to MD+ though like you I also was wanting Schwab connectivity. I was waiting for the various releases to stabilize. I tried one of the recent Preview versions and it worked flawlessly. The only issue was that there were a LOT of duplicate transactions back to 9/30/21 that I had to merge. But that is expected.
MD+ should not have "sabotaged" other logins using other connection methods. If that happened then there is something wrong with the accounts that should be checked. Stuart B's "Toolbox" extension can clean up a lot of issues with a data file and I highly recommend that as well.

Toolbox can remove MD+ from running.. Your best bet is to request to be unsubscribed from md+ first (via here/support) and then let me know if you want further instructions.

… an update. Once you have unsubscribed, then the latest preview toolbox (updated today) will / can remove all md+ data/setup. Let me know if you want to know more?
