   Hi Rick

   I can see you have changed the theme did you find ensure in System Preferences/General Show Scroll Bars is set to 'Always'?

   If yes as I am not a Mac user I think we have to wait for Mike to jump in, sorry.

   Hi Rick, please could you run Quote Loader and either post the error log or display the console (help/Console), copy it to the clipboard, paste it to a file and post the file.

   just a user - as one who tested QL on a mac, another thing that happens upon starting out is (assuming you are using the default securities/currencies on the same page) is that the currencies window is almost the entire page, so securities are hidden by that window.

   see if you can find the demarcation with your cursor (which you've changed to always, correct?) and drag the currency window downward to expose the securities window.

   It APPEARS you have what I say above, and the currency window appears complete, but as I say, way too large, and you need to expose the securities.

   Hi dtd,

   I tried just about anything possible with these window settings, sizes and themes.
   Sometimes I see one or a few buttons, sometimes when I click Get Prices I get some currencies but nothing else, sometimes noting but a blank window...
   Scroll bars are set to "Always".

   Once you have resized the tables QL should remember the sizes.

   There is a bug that causes a java exception so it will not display
   correctly.  I will need to correct this.  Can you go back to 3058?

   1. You can find it here:
   https://bitbucket.org/mikerb/moneydance-2019/downloads/.
   2. Download securityquoteload3058.mxt
   3. Rename it to securityquoteload.mxt.
   4. Start MD, use Extensions/Manage Extensions to remove Quote Loader
   5. Use 'Add from File' and choose the renamed file
   6. Restart MD

   I will work on a fix.

   I updated to Quote Loader 3200.20 under Moneydance 2022.6 (4097) and Mac OS 13.2.1.

   I use it a lot to manually update prices. Now, when I put in the new prices, all appears OK but when I click Select All Lines, Save Selected Lines, the Price Date displayed shows 00/00/0000 but the new price is kept. But when I Close and then run QL, all of the new data is gone and the old prices and dates are displayed.

   I tried reading the pdf, but the column titles don't even match; and I don't see any discussion here.

   Help, please.

    I think you are missing out a step.
    After you manually put in the New Price you need to click into the Trade Date field and select a date. After that you can then click Select All Lines, Save Selected Lines.

    You are correct, derekkent23. When I do what you say, it works.

    But that is NOT what it did before the update. I could enter a new price, arrow down to the next security and continue updating. It would automatically fill in today's date. Very easy manual entry. And to make it worse - for me - 2x clicking in Trade Date does bring up a calendar - for FEBRUARY! So I would have to manually select the Trade Date, with multiple clicks, for each and every security. That is a show-stopper for me.

    I like the % chg and amt chg, but losing the automatic date entry will have me looking elsewhere. Sorry.

    Is there a way to get back to the prior version? I have used the install/update within MD.

    My suggestion is that QL should automatically fill in the Trade Date with today's date if a manual price update is entered, and clicking in the Trade Date would allow you to edit that date.

    I can't be the only one who routinely enters lots of manual updates - necessary for reasons that are personal and dictated by my security holdings. But the old version made that easy.

    You can revert back to build 3058 for the time being.
    1. You can find it here:
    https://bitbucket.org/mikerb/moneydance-2019/downloads/.
    2. Download securityquoteload3058.mxt

    Is it OK to ignore the warning about the file being considered unsafe? I seem to recall that was an issue before QL was incorporated into MD more fully.

    Downloaded from Mike site its completely safe.
    The warning just means it has not been signed by Sean and loaded under Extensions – Manage Extensions.
    In all other respects it’s the same as the signed version.

    3058 installed and works just like I remember - and want!

    I'm set for my needs, and won't update until I see that this issue has been fixed.

    Quote Loader is a third-party extension that has been reviewed and signed by Infinite Kind (Moneydance).

    For Moneydance 2019 to 2023 latest Quote Loader Version 2 build is 3201

    **UPDATE**

    • Fix bug affecting some Mac users where tab windows were not opening correctly.
    • On manual editing of a New Price auto fill Trade Date with today’s date and allow date editing.

    Quate Loader is fully compatible with Moneydance 2023.

    I have updated the first line of the Quote Loader release notes above and will also update the PDF’s to reflect this when the next Quite Loader build is released.

    It looks like Quote Loader Source Yahoo +TD is down. Temporarily or for good time will tell.
    If you use this Source simple switch to Yahoo or FT.

    Hi,

    First of all, thanks for making this awesome extension. I appreciate it!

    I'm struggling to make sure a bond price is displayed correctly. The bond has a nominal value of €25, and yahoo just shows the current price in % of the nominal value. (If the price on yahoo is 96%, you can buy a bond for €24).

    But the software assumes the thing Yahoo loads is the currency price, instead of a % of the nominal value. Is there any way I can fix this?

    I does not sound like a situation Quote Loader can handle, but post the full name of the bond and its ticker symbol so I can take a look.

    Yahoo quotes the price of Coöperatieve Rabobank U.A. PARTICIPATED CERT(RABOBANK ORD)EUR25 in Euro’s not as a % of the EUR25 bond.

    The only other source I could find also quotes a Euro price. https://coindataflow.com/en/stock/RABO.AS

    Perhaps other users with a better understanding of this type of investment may be able to help in how to handle such securities in Moneydance.
