Hi derekkent23,
I've looked into it and at first it might seem like yahoo quotes the price in euro. But when you buy the bond, you currently can buy one for as little as about €24, not €96. And since it's common for bonds prices to be quoted in % of the nominal value of the bond, I think yahoo does quote a % instead of the actual euro price.

I have assumed that your response to my request to "fix" the manual price entry problem with Quote Loader that I reported [March 18+] was still pending, so I continued to use v3058 as it works for me. Upon re-reading this thread, I think that v3201, as reported on March 26, had FIXED the issue [already!] as opposed to merely listing requests as I originally read it. Am I correct? If so, thanks to both of you. I will update.

Yes Quote Loader Build 3201 released March 26 should have fixed the issue you reported.
Mike does not hang around.
If upon installing 3201 you have any issues just report them.

I noticed that Quote Loader displays the current date run of prices when it downloads the prices. I just updated the prices and they show date of 12/30/23-Saturday when the actual date of prices is 12/19/23 - Friday. This makes the price history incorrect.

I noticed that the price history is off by one day. Prices loaded down reflect the day after market closed, not the actual date of price. Why is that? Is there a fix for this?

A further thought.
If you are using the Source Yahoo then this could be the issue. Yahoo change the data they provide which means they no longer provide a Trade Date so Quote Loader has to assume a date. It still provided an active price during trading hour.
Try changing the source to Yahoo+TD this should provide the correct Trade Date. Yahoo+TD provides the last available history price, closing price, on the Trade Date listed.

Request for future improvements:
a) Allow user to make column sorting permanent (where securities tab doesn't revert to sorting by symbol each time extension is opened).
b) Allow for more than 3 months of Yahoo history.

Will add it to the list of requests. As the extension is quite stable I am not sure when it will be done.
The greater than 3 months of history might cause issues with the volume of data. I will investigate.

Here is the screen shot. Please note that the date of screen shot is 1-10-24 7:30 AM and the dates of the quotes are 1/10/24 except for the DOW is 1/9/24.

I think my comments on the Source Yahoo in my post of the 31st Dec mostly stands with some caveats on the comment:
Try changing the source to Yahoo+TD this should provide the correct Trade Date. Yahoo+TD provides the last available history price, closing price, on the Trade Date listed.
I should have added that during trading hours it looks like share prices are updated during the trading day thus the Tade Date reflects this. However Funds show the closing Price and Trade Date when the fund price was last calculated.
The Source FT gives the same Trading Day as Yahoo+TD

The screen shot shows Quote Loader run using three sources. These runs were before the US market opened on the 11 January.
As indicated on my previous posts the source Yahoo does not provide a Trade Date and as such Quote Loader assumes the Trade Date is the Date on which Quote Loader was run. However the alternative sources Yahoo+TD and FT do provide a Trade Date and that’s the date used for the Trade Date for these Sources.

QL is set up to update prices and pull missing prices for the past three months when I open MD. BUT it doesn't actually start pulling prices until I open the extension and close the window, and it is NOT grabbing historical prices, insisting on grabbing the most current price. And manually running the extension doesn't grab historical prices as I'd expect as it's an option for the auto update, instead only the most recent price.
How do I force it to actually run on launch AND pull historical data as it is set to, WITHOUT starting a new file, or doing any involved export recreate stuff as I an NOT willing to do that again. I have too much data that I'd have to fix on a reimport like that and I will NOT do that.
I'm on a MBP running MacOS 14.2.1
QL is current at v3204
MD is current at v2023.3 (5064)

I figured it out. Needed the Yahoo HD setting. Operator error, or PEBCAK, as usual.

Quoteloader worked for me until the newest MD version. I am using QL 3204. All "new prices"are updated but only a few "price dates" and "last price" change to reflect the new price. No idea what to do.

Can you take a look at the Quote Loader PDF to ensure you are fully completing the process to retrieve then save prices.
Including Page 7 of post 67 at

If that does not help can you post a screen of the Parameter tab plus the Security tab after you click GET PRICES then again after you click SELECT ALL LINES then again after you click SAVE SELECTED LINES. Finally double click on a Ticker that you believe has an issue so you can post a screen shot of its Currency/Security History window
This way we can see whats going on and should be able to help.

I have used Quoteloader for many years, always had a few issues but was able to sort them out. I attached a screenshot showing the results with different "sources" and one with the parameters I have set. Just ran this at 10AM PST.

Looking at your screen shot there seems to be only one security that is not returning a price Alkermes Plc with the ticker ALKS.
As stated in the Quote Loader PDF page 14 see post 67 at

FT HD does not support historical data for Stocks, only Funds.
You should change the Source to FT or if you need historical data change Source to Yahoo HD remembering to tick the Retrieve Missed Prices box under the Parameter tab.

That one stock was not the problem. I did not need that price.
Anyway, don't know what happened, I didn't change a thing, and now it is back to working. Yeah!

Glad it is working for you. Quote Loader depends on the chosen source
for the data. If that source has an issue QL will not be able to get a
price. You can always check the source by using your browser to go to
markets.ft.com/data for FT sources or finance.yahoo.com for yahoo
sources and entering your ticker.
Often the source does not update particular tickers or has an issue with
its web page.

Hi,
I love this extension, thanks so much Mike for providing it and Derek for assistance.
My tickers are split between Yahoo HD and FT HD, and in the last few weeks all of the Yahoo ones stopped working. When I check the URLs, I do see valid data - e.g. (this URL taken from the log file): https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/0P0000A2DE.SW/history?p=0P0000A2DE.SW
In the attached file are the logs I think are relevant to retrieving this one ticker; ultimately QL decides "No price returned for 0P0000A2DE.SW"
Any thoughts on what is stopping this working?
Environment : QL v3204, MD v2024.1(5118), MacOS Ventura 13.6.6

Mike the developer of Quote Loader is working on a fix and a new build brining back Yahoo is under test.
