Remove Security

Under Security Details and then Actions and Delete Security a message appears' Security Accounts That Are Referenced by Transactions or Reminders Cannot Be Removed. ???
Please advise

    Hi Melvyn,
    Thank you for contacting Moneydance support.

    That is correct! The software will not allow you to remove a security that is in use.
    In order to delete a security you would have to delete or amend any transaction that uses that security, once all transactions have been removed/changed, you can remove that security from the Investment Account. Finally you should navigate to Tools -> Securities to remove it.

    In turn, you should highlight each investment Account listed in the Side Bar.
    Then in the Security Detail tab click Remove Security and use the dropdown to select the security you want to delete. Then OK –> YES to delete the Security.

    You must do this for each investment Account.
