I've been using Moneydance since 2010. Now I have an unwieldy number of securities: tools/securities/edit securities. The application won't let me delete them but what I want to do is hide the old investments so I don't have to scroll through so many. Many thanks.

For more recent versions of Moneydance you can install the Toolbox extension and it has an option to mark zero balance securities as inactive.

This will not hide the security everywhere, for example in the list of securities, as all of the list options include inactive items as there still needs to be some way to access them, but it should reduce their occurrence in other places.
