Investment account
XQuicken user. Imported my QIF file into MD15. Successfully imported the data into MD15.
1. securities were transferred from Fidelity to this TD Ameritrade in Jan. 2015
2. securities show up in register with proper share count, but 0 purchase price, 0 total valve.
3. when I try to reconcile account, these show up with 0 value & I am unable to reconcile
Truly need some direction on this so I don't complete frustrate myself chasing the wrong "rabbit".

Did the QIF file come directly from the 2013 version or did you do the QMTF work around to get QIF data out of the 2016 version?

i suspect this is just an anomaly caused by the QIF transfer. QIF files are limited in a number of important ways that makes their contents inherently ambiguous, to confound this there is no official specification for the format and every version of Quicken produces them in slightly different ways. I am afraid I think the only way forward to is manually correct the transactions in Moneydance post import.

Would I be ahead time wise to just go ahead and manually enter all of securities that were transferred from the 1st custodian to the new custodian? After doing that, I should be able to reconnect to the institution's site & updating the accounts. Correct?

I am praying & trusting that MoneyDance is more trustworthy than Q. It would really problematic to spend hrs getting this entered only to determine that it's too unstable to use.
