Looking for help (really basic stuff) with Quote Loader

Long time user of Moneydance, but have never tracked Securities. Installed Quote Loader 321008 via Extensions Manager, restarted Moneydance and opened Quote Loader. Can't find any way (and I read every PDF I could find here in the discussions) to add a Security to the Quote Loader window (this must be as basic as it gets!).

   Start by adding the security to the MD / tools / securities window.

   Then in QL, make sure the option show/hide securities with zero balances is correctly set.

   Quote Loader does not set a Source for quotes for newly added securities. You must set it yourself and then click the Save Changes button.

   This issue has bitten me several times since I usually load the security history from Yahoo when adding a new security to Moneydance. Everything looks great initially, but the next time I reconcile my files to my broker's, that security is out of sync.

   I do have a problem with Quotes and Exchange Rates Settings. Can someone explain me what I have to do, that my Stocks and Bonds are updated every day or weeks . I tried some different Adjustments but it doesnt work. There is also a message Unable to get rate from ' Starbuxs ' etc etc...
   Your recommandation is very much appreciated.

   Quote and Exchange Rate extension is broken, you can’t fix it.

   Try the extension Quote Loader under EXTENSIONS – MANAGE EXTENSION

   Download the PDF’s attached to post 103 and have a read.

   To get an overview take a look at the YouTube videos by using the links on page 1 and 2 of the PDF.

   The Quick Start Video is intended to give a quick overview so the user can see if Quite loader looks like it could work for them. The Short Video expands the user’s knowledge giving more detail. The Full Video goes even further but may be to wordy for some.

   The PDF reinforces what’s leaned in the videos, provides step by step instructions, a must read and provide answers on how to handle less obvious issues some users may come across.

   Let us know how you get on or if you need help just post. If any securities return an error then post your base currency, the Ticker, full Security Name and last price you have and its traded currency or just post a screen shot of the Quote Loader windows after you click GET PRICES.
