Incorrect "Gains" displayed in the "Investment Performance" Report
I am a Moneydance user since 2011.
I purchased 10 shares of Amazon at USD 3150.00 each on Jan 6, 2021 with fee of USD 48.10.
I made the share split 1:20 on June 6, 2022 (10 shares>200 shares).
I sold 200 shares of Amazon at USD 195.00 each on June 27, 2024 with fee of USD 194.58.
This is the Investment Performance Report I get for this stock.
Can you explain why the Report shows negative “Gains” of USD 592,156.58?
I have other stocks and never experienced similar problems.
I look forward to receiving your comments. Thank you.

I'm here because I've noticed a similar problem. Performance report is calculating gains wrongly for a stock that is split.
For a stock that split 10 for 1 between purchase and sale, it shows plausible totals for both "Buys" and "Sales", but for "Gains" it shows "Sales" - 10 x "Buys". What should be a gain is turned into a loss roughly 10x the correct amount.
I haven't noticed a problem with the split anywhere else in Moneydance, I think it's just the performance report that is wrong.

Even within the investment report, it is only the gains column that is affected. All the return columns appear to be correct, despite gains being wrong.

Hi Stuart, Hi Chris,
Thank you for your comments.
I installed the latest version of Moneydance (Build 5139) and now the report is correct.
