Can Investment Account info be downloaded
In exploring the Moneydance 2022 app, I see that data from bank accounts can be automatically downloaded into Moneydance. But no similar information is provided about investments. Can investment accounts be automatically downloaded into Moneydance? If not, how can this data be entered? Entering the data manually is a non-starter for me, as a number of different accounts would be involved.
Also, assuming that somehow the data can be entered into Moneydance, how is are the prices of securities updated? I presume that there is a service that will update the account values at least daily?
I wish you provided a FAQ that explains the features of your app in more detail. If such a thing exists, it must be well hidden as I didn't see it when perusing through your werbiste.
Please let me know. Thanks.

Quote Loader is an extension that can continually update your security prices.
Investment accounts are definitely supported. Whether or not they can be updated by OFX direct download or Moneydance+ depends on the investment bank (I download Fidelity with OFX, Schwab with Moneydance+)
As for "lack of documentation" - investments and bank accounts go through the same process of downloads...

I am not support staff, just a user.
Hi Phil
Information on the features of Moneydance and how to use them can be found at https://infinitekind.tenderapp.com/kb
For information on the features of Quote Loader and how to use see post 110 https://infinitekind.tenderapp.com/discussions/investments/7595-quo...
Download the PDF’s attached to post 110 and have a read.
To get an overview take a look at the YouTube videos by using the links on page 1 and 2 of the PDF.
The Quick Start Video is intended to give a quick overview so the user can see if Quite loader looks like it could work for them. The Short Video expands the user’s knowledge giving more detail. The Full Video goes even further but may be too wordy for some.
The PDF reinforces what’s leaned in the videos, provides step by step instructions, a must read and provide answers on how to handle less obvious issues some users may come across.
Let us know how you get on or if you need help just post. If any securities return an error then post your base currency, the Ticker, full Security Name and last price you have and its traded currency or just post a screen shot of the Quote Loader windows after you click GET PRICES.
Hope this helps.

Hi Phil,
I can see you’ve received a reply from some of our knowledgeable Moneydance customers. To add to this useful information, I thought it's worth mentioning that you can download our free trial version and experiment with the program prior to purchasing a license.
You can download Moneydance from this page.
The trial version is fully functional and allows you to manually enter 100 transactions. Imported transactions are not limited, so you'll be able to fully test downloading data from your bank, and importing data from other personal finance software.
If you decide to purchase the program at a later date you can keep all data you have entered during the trial period.
In order to get started, please refer to this article of the Knowledge Base and follow the links listed on the right hand side of your screen.
Finally, you may want to refer to this article describing the First Steps with Moneydance in an easy and comprehensive manner.
Then you could refer to this section about Investment Accounts
I hope this information is helpful. Please let me know if you have further questions or need any assistance.
