Inactive Securities not showing up in Securities Detail

Searching for a security that had been marked as Inactive does not show up in Securities Detail. How do I find that security now?

Hi,
Thank you for contacting Moneydance support.
Firstly, we would recommend installing the latest update.
If you purchased Moneydance on our online store:
Moneydance 2024.4 (5253) is available for downloading from this page.
You should choose to overwrite or manually uninstall the previous version.
If you are running the Mac App Store version:
You should be able to download Moneydance by signing into the Mac App Store with the same Apple ID used at the time of purchase.
Then, you should launch Moneydance and navigate to Tools->Accounts. Using the search field you can enter the account name.
Double click on the security name and uncheck the 'Inactive' feature.

Hi Maddy, I updated to latest version and still can't find inactive securities displayed in Securities Detail. I inadvertently marked a security as Inactive and now can't find it to reverse the error. I ran a report which shows the security but I can't figure out a way to get back to it to uncheck the inactive status.

A bit more info: I checked through the entire Securities Detail list and found only 1 inactive security listed as I would expect it (grayed out). All other inactive securities are no longer listed.

Maddy, I see this discussion is marked as Private. I'm not sure why that is. I didn't designate as such. Can you make it public so others might offer suggestions?

Try looking under TOOLS – ACCOUNTS towards the bottom of the list.
