I have a stock that was bought out by another company. The ratio of the buyout was 1.34079 to 1. How do I change this in my register? I will also need to change the name and the symbol in the register.

    Hi Jim,
Thank you for contacting Moneydance support.

In order to rename your security, navigate to the security via Tools –>Securities and double click on it. Select Edit, in the pop up window,.
Finally, simply amend the security name. Please note: the security name will change throughout Moneydance.

Then click on your investment account, then click on the "securities detail" button towards the top of the screen. Select the stock you want to split in the section in the upper right section of the screen, then click on the "stock split" button just below the stock information. Enter the stock split ratio and split date in the subsequent window.

I hope this information is helpful. Please let us know if you have further questions or need more assistance.

Why not just sell the old security and buy the new security. Clean and simple?
