Transfer Transactions and Lot Info to Different Account
I have several Vanguard mutual fund investments, each in its own account. I think the reason for having only a single investment in each account was due to a limitation of Quicken, from which I imported transaction data years ago.
Because MD can handle multiple mutual funds in a single account, I'd like to see if I can consolidate all the transactions from the multiple Vanguard accounts into a single account. But for the transfer to be useful, >>all<< of the transaction details and history need to be moved (e.g., otherwise lot picking upon sale will break). A simple "sell in accounts 1, 2 & 3 and buy in account 4" won't work.
Is it possible to do this kind of batch change in MD? If so, how?
Also...since messing this consolidation up would destroy a LOT of data, is there a way to use one of the automatically created backups MD makes to restore things if something goes wrong?

Toolbox extension. Extensions menu. Toolbox - move / merge investment transactions.

I would also suggest you take a manual backup (Export Backup) before you start.

Did the backup first, made all the changes, everything seems fine. Fingers crossed!
Thanx!
