Deletion of inactive Investments from Summary Page.
Wish to hide accounts which are no longer active without removing previous activities. Account>Edit Account>clicking Hide on summary page if balance $0. This does not remove the entry. Clicking on Inactive also has no effect. Am I missing something? Having changed Investment Broker want to remove them from current file.
Guidance would be appreciated.

Hi Old Goat,
MD2015.7 (1362) Win 10 64-bit.
I can not reproduce this behavior.
Checkmarking 'Inactive' does indeed remove the account in question from the Summary Page.

Kevin,
Thank you for your response. Unfortunately the offending items remain. I have tried shutting down the computer and disconnecting the power. Restarted Moneydance and although the box is still checked for inactive or Hide or both, I get no reaction on five different Investment accounts. I have been successful on previous versions of MD, currently on 2015.7(1358). I have been using MD for about 10 years.

Could you show a screenshot of the settings for the account and a screenshot showing that account on the summary page.

Ben:
It is the entries in the summary side bar that are not being removed. On the actual summary page they are no longer showing. My question therefore should be how to update the bar?
Hope this is what you were looking for.
Your assistance will be greatly appreciated.

The left side bar and the summary page are different things. To remove an item from the left side bar right click on it in the left side bar and from the context menu select "Remove from side bar"

Ben:
Thank you. Sorry to have inconvenienced you. You guys are great. It’s a pity your clients are not as smart.

You are welcome. I tend to think the distinction between summary page and left side bar is a fairly confusing one myself.
