Quote loader - REITS
hi there
Can quote loader track real estate investment trusts?
Would it be the same as setting up an ETF?

What prices Quote Loader can capture is totally dependent on what the sources have.
You can use Quote Loader to try any download prices, assuming you know the Ticker code or you can query on sites like Yahoo and FT to see if they have the prices required.

They look like ETFs on Yahoo to me (e.g. VNQ), so imagine so. It’s just a question of getting the ticker right. Post your ticker?

Listed REITs should be much like any share type investment, just like ETFs are.

Thanks for the responses, I'm still researching REIT ETFs so I haven't invested yet, seems like they behave similar to stock ETFs as you say, I'll update this thread once I've added the security and a buy order on moneydance.

You can also set up Quote Loader to retrieve prices for securities you do not own.

Finally setup the REIT ETF and it works just like a regular ETF.
Thanks for the replies.
