Entering New Securities

How do I enter new securities? It appears that I cannot enter in my register a buy for a new security until that security is in my securities list. I would like a very simple means. I don't need to go thru the exchange to register and get a key. Keep it simple please.

    It is a two step process.

    Firstly you create the security definition, this is where things like the security price history is held. You can do this through the Moneydance menu command Tools => securities

    You then have to associate the security with the investment account you wish to use it in, you do this in the account itself. This sets up the structure in the investment account that allows you to buy, sell etc.
