Portfolio View
Folks,
Is it possible to add a column to PV that shows the percentage of each stock relative to total portfolio value?
Thanks...

No you cannot customise the display.
A report would be a way of getting such data but I cannot think of one that shows the split in an investment account on a percentage basis.

Thanks for the prompt response, dwg. I figured as much and I cannot find
a way to do it in reporting, but I am not an expert at using the
extension tools. It would be a nice feature to have in a future upgrade.

Does the asset allocation report get close at all?

Yes and no, Stuart. It lists by Large, Mid and Small Cap and sub-totals,
which I don’t want, too busy and difficult to read. Though it is an
option. I prefer to see each stock listed in order along with the
information currently available in PV.
Thanks for responding..

My main issue with assett allocation report is it prefixes each investment with its account name ( yes understand thats how its stored) but i want to know my TOTAL for an investment across all my different accounts, so i can easily see if one investment is too large a percentage

I am led to understand that the next MD update might bring some capability that will help you with this request.
As to when that next update will come - IK would have to comment

You could try the brand new MD2026 alpha
https://infinitekind.com/prepreview
This should not be used for live data as this time - as it’s an alpha.
and run the asset allocation reports
Then copy to csv / excel using the new data export copy options.
Then paste into excel.
To see on screen, at the bottom of the copy menu click the option to view export format on screen.
The PR and IPR report also have data export mode too.

Thanks, Stuart. It’s not quite what I would like but it is a useful
report. Look forward to using it when it is beta.
You are a superuser as far as I am concerned, both literally and
figuratively.
