Syncing now crashes Moneydance desktop
Synchronisation between Moneydance and my Android phone has recently stopped working. On searching the website I see that this is because Dropboax has deprecated its old API. I have updated to the latest version of Moneydance as suggested, and now the desktop app just freezes whenever I make any transaction entries - presumably while trying to sync.
I can get into the file menu and turn syncing off, then the desktop app works fine. But when I turn it on it crashes whenever I add or change a transaction in an account. I have tried re-connecting the app using a new API request code but this hasn't helped.
My android phone is not reporting any problems when syncing.
Can you please help?

I am not support staff, just a user.
You don’t state which version (2015 or 2017) and build you are running, see under HELP – ABOUT MONEYDANCE. For example I am running 2017.5(1639).
You don't state which version of the APP your Phone is running.
With this information support or others will be able to create an answer.
Hope this helps.

I would suggest resetting syncing. Also, if you are using Dropbox Connect I would suggest trying Dropbox Folder under FILE – SYNCING as the syncing method. Dropbox Folder requires that you have at least the free basic version of Dropbox client installed on your computer. Change sync method if required.
If you have any transactions on your Moneydance APP that have not been sync back to Moneydance on your computer you will need to enter them manually into your computer or they will be lost.
On your phone with Moneydance shutdown on your computer click on “Disconnect” (if connected) under settings on your Moneydance APP and then close the APP.
Using the Dropbox app or website interface, delete the .moneydancesync folder in your Dropbox folder.
Then re-open Moneydance and wait for the .moneydancesync folder and its contents to be recreated in Dropbox. This may take some time. Watch the Dropbox icon and wait till it states “Up to Date”.
Open and reconnect your Moneydance Phone APP to resync your data.
Detail of syncing can be found at http://help.infinitekind.com/kb/syncing-and-sharing-data/syncing-wi...
Hope this helps
