iPhone security
Hi, I love the iPhone app and it syncs really well with my desktop version. I use the 4 digit password to get into the app on my iPhone which is fine. However it is annoying that I always have to manually close the app by double clicking the home button and selecting the moneydance icon. If I don't do this, the next time I open the app, it bypasses the 4 digit password and opens my account details straight away. Is there a way of stopping this?
Matthew

Matthew,
I am assuming you are running OS 4 on your iPhone. This version of the OS permits multi-tasking- meaning that multiple apps are running concurrently. The double click and tap maneuver fully shuts down the app. I can understand that you are worried about the security of this, but I don't know if there is anything we can do about this particular issue, as the app is not actually closing, but I will check with our developer and see if there might be some way that Moneydance can "see" that you have moved the focus away from our app and ask for the passcode next time you open the app.
If you believe there is a different reason this issue is occurring, do let me know and we'll check it out.
Please let me know if I can be of further assistance,
Angie Rauscher

Hi Matthew,
Angie referred your message to me (I'm the author of the iphone app) and I see what you mean about using app-switching to bypass the PIN entry screen. I've updated the code so that a re-activation will send you back through the PIN entry screen. We're working on some other big updates, such as syncing via dropbox.com, and this fix will be included in that release.
Thanks,
Sean
