Configure Network Syncing
What sequence do I add the groups of four characters and should they be capital letters and spaces between each group.
I have tried several ways and rechecked my typing to no avail.

Tony

I am not support staff, just a user.
For support or others to help you, you need to provide more information.
What version build of Moneydance are you running, see under HELP - ABOUT MONEYDANCE. e.g. 2017.8(1685)
What operating system is your computer running.
Can you explain what you are trying to do. Its not clear from your post. If you are trying to sync your data set between computers or to a mobile device the you need to use a cloud server such as Dropbox see http://help.infinitekind.com/kb/syncing-and-sharing-data
Hope this helps

Hi Derek,
Yes, you are right, I should have provided the following:
Desktop: MoneyDance 2012.5 running on Windows 10 Home edition build 12-9 16299.492
IPad Mini 4: MoneyDance latest version downloaded yesterday, on iOS 11.4
The iPad version provides 12 groups of four characters to be added into the Network Syncing menu on the Desktop. The desktop only provides one long field for entering these groups. I have tried various combinations both with and without spaces between the groups but MoneyDance refuses to recognise them.
The question is what format should the 12 groups be entered for MoneyDance to recognise them.
And no I do not want my financial information sitting in Dropbox, which has been hacked at least once, or anywhere else in “the Cloud”.
Regards
Tony

Not sure I can help you I am running Moneydance 2017, I have no experience with 2012.
There is a article on how to sync to a mobile device relating to 2012 at http://help.infinitekind.com/kb/archive-mobile/archive-syncing-mone... but this uses Dropbox.
Just a note about Dropbox being hacked. The following relates to Moneydance 2017 I don’t know if it is relevant to 2012.
When Moneydance 2017 uses Dropbox, it uses end to end symmetric AES256 encryption. As used by governments and banks for example. Keys (syncing encryption passphrase) are not held in the cloud, only on your devices. So, if Dropbox was to be hacked they would only get an encrypted set of files.
