I have tried everything including deleting the Moneydance file on Dropbox. Deleting both Drobbox and Moneydance on my iPhone and restarting the phone etc. with no luck. Sorry to hear of the issue you have encountered when syncing your data with the Moneydance mobile app. Can you try to resetting your syncing connection completely and see if setting up fresh allows a successful connection? This will involve disabling the current sync settings, deleting all trace of the sync from Dropbox, then setting up again from scratch -<br>
First disable Dropbox syncing in Moneydance via File --> Syncing, then close Moneydance.<br>
Using the Dropbox app or website interface, delete the .moneydancesync folder in your Dropbox folder.<br>
Then re-open Moneydance and re-enable Dropbox syncing via File --> Syncing.<br>
Sign out of Dropbox syncing on the Moneydance app on your mobile device and reconnect.<br>
If you have any un-synced transactions on your mobile devices then this process will delete any transactions not stored in the main data set. You'll want to manually enter any transactions like this before following the steps.<br>

Even after "resynching" following the above method, it seems to be only a one way synch.</p>
<p>MAC > iphone synch does not work at all unless you delete the moneydance folder again from drop box.</p>
<p>iphone > MAC this is working fine.</p>

" it perhaps should say to wait for your dropbox files to sync with dropbox itself otherwise MD won't find the files to sync if you quickly move onto the next step. Have tried the above procedures on my iPad mini several times. Got to the point where I entered my sync password and the app just hangs for hours, "Waiting for initial sync". Decided to sync my Android phone instead; worked perfectly in seconds.<br>

I just bought the new iPhone XsMax and the gear spins endlessly while "waiting for initial sync." It will keep spinning until I delete the app entirely from my iPhone. Moneydance still works fine on my old iphone 6sPlus as well as my MacBook and iMac.</p>
<p>Not sure what the problem is or why this is happening. Since so many others are having the same issues, I am preparing myself to just not being able to use MD on my new phone at all. Strange the developer is turning a blind eye to this issue.</p>
<p>FWIW, I am using iOS12, with version MD2.20 freshly downloaded from the App Store. The desktop version is 2017.7.1 (1671) running on system 10.13.6.</p></div>madrignola
