Moneydance 2017 as well as using Dropbox Connection and Dropbox Folder for syncing has the syncing option Shared Folder which works with other cloud storage system. I have tested Shared Folder using OneDrive without any issues. I have no reason to believe iCloud would be any different.
I can only talk of the version purchased direct from this site. If you purchased 2014 from this site you can get a 50% discount on 2017.
For syncing see http://help.infinitekind.com/kb/syncing-and-sharing-data
Note you cant use shared folder to sync to mobile devices/phones, only other computers.

Hope this helps

derekkent23tag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/458142442018-08-03T21:10:02Z2018-08-03T21:10:02ZOther options besides Dropbox

I'm looking for iPhone, iPad syncing so the shared folder won't work for me.
All I can suggest is to open a free Dropbox account and only use it for Moneydance syncing. it will just site there not doing any harm.

derekkent23tag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/458142442018-08-03T21:23:32Z2018-08-03T21:23:35ZOther options besides Dropbox

I appreciate the help, but I'm not opening a dropbox account just for Moneydance. I'll just switch products. They should offer more than one option.

Can I get a response from someone at Infinite Kind?

Bashtag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/458142442018-08-06T11:19:45Z2018-08-06T11:19:45ZOther options besides Dropbox

Hi Bash,

Just to confirm what Derek has already outlined. I'm afraid that currently, if you plan on using the Moneydance mobile app, you'll need to use Dropbox to achieve this. The mobile app does not have the ability to talk to other file sharing services. We are looking to add more syncing options in the mobile app in a future version. Although, I'm unable to provide any timescale for this improvement.

I'm sorry that the mobile app in its current form does not suit your needs.

Unfortunately that means I'll have to take a look at SEE Finance (uses iCloud). I've been using Moneydance for a long as I can remember (still have an installer and license file from 2011). I just can't bring myself to create a dropbox account for the purpose of syncing. I'll do my best to keep an eye out for an update that might allow me to come back.

Feel free to send me email updates.

Bashtag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/458142442018-08-27T16:36:52Z2018-08-27T16:36:52ZOther options besides Dropbox

For linux users, Dropbox is pulling the plug in Nov. Since mobile devices running MD require dropbox it's another problem that I hope IK can address (soon!!).

jonh
