I am trying to set up Moneydance on a new ipad. I get the sync options window with all the sync coding but when I start Moneydance on the desktop there is no Network Synchronizer extension showing in the extension tab. I had this set up before on my old ipad and my iphone so I have done it before, but I cannot see how to add the new device now. I am using Moneydance 2017.

    I'm a fellow user.

To sync with an iPad you must use dropbox when using Moneydance 2017. The Network Synchronizer was only supported with older versions of Moneydance.

I figured it out. It seems if you tap the wifi icon in the bottom right it takes you to the coding window but if you tap dropbox it takes you to dropbox to grant permission to the new ipad.

I am as well trying to sync to a new iPad, syncing works to iPhone 7 Plus with iOS 12, MacBook Pro, but absolutely not to iPad. I followed every possibility I've found here and on other sites, all it does occasionally is syncing with one of my several accounts, never with all of them.
Before I start to sync I am ask which one of two files I want to sync, their names are something "Personal Finance...", with different times I have saved data, I tried both. The above mentioned file names are not even the file names I see in my Drop Box. It is frustrating, and I am ready to find a different software.
