Having trouble syncing my new MacBook Air via Dropbox

I've installed MD on my new laptop and synced it to Dropbox but the data shown differs from my iMac version which I normally use. I've previously synced to my iPad and this works ok but wanted the full functionality of MD when I'm travelling.

Can I somehow remove the file from my laptop and then let it sync with Dropbox somehow? Any other suggestions?

    Do you follow the instructions in the following document for setting up a second system?


    It is not clear to me how you set up the new laptop.

    Thanks. I hadn’t seen the advice until I posted my question. I tried to set up my laptop exactly the same as my iMac from iCloud. I then had to download the MD program and try to get the data synced. I think I found the data by looking from my laptop at the Finder with my iMac visible and opening a file from there.

     Unfortunately the Dropbox was set up previously and the advice is not to do that. I’ll have to look at it all closer when I get a chance.

You can use Command ⌘ instead of Control ^ on Mac
