How do I sync Moneydance on Mac with iPhone using shared folder

How do I sync the Moneydance App on iPhone with Moneydance on Mac? I turned on sharing and created a folder on the Mac, it defaulted to Drop Box for the name. I don't have a drop box account and don't want one, so hoping to use a shared folder on my Mac.

    I am not support staff, just a user.

    Syncing to mobile devices such as the iPhone can only be done via Dropbox.
    See help.infinitekind.com/kb/syncing-and-sharing-data
    You can sync using shared folder between computers but not to mobile devices.
    If you want to do that you need a free Dropbox account.
