Ok the Moneydance program I'm using is 2019.4 (1886). I'm using dropbox
folder to connect to dropbox. I have iPhone XR running 12.3.1, iPad 6th
Generation running 12.3.1. I also have an Android tablet running 7.1.1.
The iPhone,iPad and Android tablet are never connected at the same time.
Now when I download Moneydance App from Apple I log into my dropbox. Then
it ask me to allow Moneydance to access my files in dropbox. I select
Allow. Then it take me to a screen that I need to input a Encryption Key.
So I input the Encruption key and press begin syncing. Then the next
screen said " wait for inital syncing" then about 3 seconds later he app
closes. Now when you try to open up the Moneydance app you get a black
screen. This happens on the iPhone and iPad. Now when I try it on the
Android Tablet it works fine.
Sorry, when I suggested posting your Moneydance app build I meant the build on your Apple devices. A new build 2.21 was released on the 12 July 2019. I was trying to determine if the issue is with the just released build, 2.21 or with 2.20?
I have an Android phone running build 1.15 and when I loaded a new Android beta build 2.0(53) then a few days later 2.0(54) I am seeing the similar issue to you. I had to reverted back to 1.15
Along with the other information you have provided it could help support solve the issue.
Hi Henry, in conversation with Sean on Slack site to resolve the issue. State of play. Moved on from post above. MD build for Android is 2.0 from beta page on Google Play. Get to the point where I click the BEGIN SYNCING at which point I get the message Syncing Failed. Phone running 6.0.1

Ok, I've found and fixed a crash that was occurring in version 2.21 of Moneydance for iOS/iPad/iPhone. Version 2.22 is now waiting for review with Apple and will be published as soon as they approve it and should solve the problem. Thanks for reporting this!
