The only method for syncing computes to mobile devices is using Dropbox.
When Moneydance uses Dropbox, it uses end to end symmetric AES256 encryption. As used by governments and banks for example. Keys (syncing encryption passphrase) are not held in the cloud, only on your devices. So, if Dropbox was to be hacked they would only get an encrypted set of files with no way to find the key to open the encrypted files.

Be aware Shared Folder only works if you are syncing computers but not if you are trying to sync to mobile devices, Android or iOS.
You have to use Dropbox as the Moneydance mobile device software uses a Dropbox API to sync to your Dropbox account in the cloud.
