Hi Jessica.
To run Moneydance you must have at least one computer in the setup, Windows, Mac or Linux and then you can add any number of mobile devices, iOS or Android, running the free Moneydance mobile app.
You can’t run mobile devices alone.
What is you setup?

You need to open the App Store app on your iPhone or iPad, and search for Moneydance and download it. Its free.

Hi Jessica.
You need to set up and download at least a free Dropbox client account.
In the following I suggest you use the syncing method Dropbox Folder on you Mac
Take a look at https://infinitekind.tenderapp.com/kb/syncing-and-sharing-data
Any problems following this process just post
Hope this helps

Hi Jessica
That’s correct, the free Mobile app is intended as an addition to the app on your computer to allow you to enter bank type transactions on the go.
It does not allow you to do all the thing you can do on your computer.
Hope this helps.

I am not sure the full app would work on an iPhone screen, but it certainly would on an iPad screen, especially my 12.9".
If you would like the full version of Moneydance on iPad (or iPhone) you could add your voice to this thread:

As Derek said you need Dropbox. The free version is fine.

Hi Jessica
To find the correct page on the Dropbox site to set up a free account and download the free app to install Dropbox client Google “Dropbox Basic”. This free account gives you 2GB of free cloud storage, more than you will ever need if you are just using it to sync Moneydance and a place to use as a Moneydance backup location.
Hope this helps.

Hi boreham
Upgrade to mobile app.
Sean the Moneydance developer is moving in that direction.
He has released a beta Android build that transfers all the data to the mobile device. It also makes some small improvements to the user interface.
My understanding is when he is happy that the data is being synced correctly the next stage is to start upgrading the user interface for the mobile device so the data can be accessed. Not sure what form this will take. I presume he will at some stage work on an upgrade for the iOS devices app as well.
No time scale for the project has been given, but would not expect anything soon.
Have Fun.
