Wont sync

I’ve had Moneydance on my Mac computer since 2011.
I’m trying to put Moneydance on my iPad Pro and the first thing it does is try to sync to Dropbox.
I’m trying to sync the two together but it stays on the dropbox sync it won’t go any further.
I have saved my Moneydance file and put it in dropbox.
I’m attaching two files to show you.

    I’ve just looked at my version and it’s 2011r2 (803)

    That could be my problem.

    How can I update to latest version, and will it mess up my Moneydance checkbook I’ve been using since 2011?
