Backups deliberately have syncing disable in order to prevent possible corruption of the backed up data. One of the possible reasons for restoring for backup is corrupted data which is likely to mean data on Dropbox would also be corrupted.

Dropbox Connection should work. Irrespective of that the most common reason for Dropbox Folder not appearing in in the dropdown is that the Dropbox folder was created in a custom location, the algorithm Moneydance is using to display the option is not exhaustive.

Before proceeding you should delete any data that is in the .moneydancesync folder that is within the Dropbox folder, this clears out previous data which is no longer usable.

When using a custom Dropbox folder location is is necessary to choose Shared Folder as the connection method and to navigate to the location in order to show Moneydance the correct home for the syncing data.

dwgtag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/480958212020-02-19T22:38:36Z2020-02-19T22:38:37ZSince PC crash can't sync

Hi dwg

Thank you for your advice, all is now sorted.

Once I had deleted the contents of the .moneydancesync folder and reset the setup in the PC application I had to disconnect Dropbox within the app in the Android devices and then reset those too.

Thanks again
