Hi, there, I am using an old version of Moneydance 2012 for many years. It has been working well on my mac. Until recently, I upgraded my mac to the latest MacBook Pro. I find that there is issue with syncing moneydance with WiFi and Dropbox.

I removed my Dropbox moneydance database, hoping that i could setup the Dropbox connection again. But when I click ‘enable’, a message box prompted with “authorisation erro”. So no idea how to redo it.

then, i moved to WiFi sync. The money dance on my MacBook Pro recognised my iPhone (iPhone 12 mini)’s money dance app. When I key in the WiFi access key (as showed on the iphone app), it kept saying access key not correct. I really have no idea what had gone wrong. I did such WiFi sync before, but don’t know why it doesn’t work now. CAn u pls advice?

    just a user here

May I suggest that nine years is a long time? Are you still using the same OS on your latest macbook that you were using on your older macbook pro? What is on that macbook? And what is on the new macbook?

Apple does not tend to worry about "breaking" older software. It's possible that MD is doing it's best to work on your new computer - but some things just no longer work.

Might it be worth - ummm - I think a half price upgrade to come forward 9 years. It is not required, of course, but some things do break, not due to MD fault, as time and OS versions pass by.

Actually, you might get help in figuring out how to make 2012 work with your new macbook. I suggest the nominal fee to move to 2021 might be more worthwhile.
