Why Dropox?
Why is DropBox requires to sync my files? I have access to Google Drive and/or can plug my phone into my computer when I get home to transfer the information.

I'm a fellow user,
Because the Mobile applications at this time use the Dropbox API.

But at $6 plus dollars a month, I can't afford it. Ah well. No phone app for me.
Thanks for the reply.

Dropbox provides for free a 3 device limit, only when you use the Dropbox client does a device count towards this limit.
Moneydance uses the API on the mobile platform - hence no need for the client - so no use of a device connection.
The desktop has the choice of using the Dropbox client or the API. so it is quite feasible to not use any of the 3 device limit.

I am not support staff, just a user.
Hi Frank
As other have stated you must use at least a free Dropbox account if you want to include mobile devices, e.g. phones. On computer use the Moneydance sync method Dropbox Folder on up to 3 computers. If you have more than 3 computers then on the fourth and subsequent computers use the Moneydance sync method Dropbox Connection and don’t install Dropbox client on these computers.
If you only want to sync between computers then you can use the Moneydance sync method Shared Folder and create the shared folder on Google Drive. Along with Google Drive I have tested OneDrive, Box.com and pCloud and they all work.
Hope this helps.
