Transaction not editable on app

Here's the scenario.

Asset account used for tracking spending from wallet.

I put £1 in a charity box.

Entered amount. Then thought, soddit, and added £2 more. Edited amount.

£3 was now recorded, but the balance on the app was as if I had only put £1, i.e. the total was wrong.

When I synced, the amount was £1, and the £3 which I had on the app was removed.

I could have entered the amount in 2 transactions, but it's worrying that editing an amount seems to produce unexpected behaviour (as, after all, typos happen).

This, to me, is a fairly fundamental issue as it affects the total amount in an account.
