Moneydance appears to have stopped syncing
I think I may know what happened. Our profile on Windows recently got corrupted and I had to create a new profile. I then copied all of the folders and files in my old profile to my new profile (under C:\Users\). It looks like this happened on 2/14 which is right around when Moneydance on our iPads and Windows got out of sync.
How can I recover? I can easily enter the last two weeks of transactions into our Windows installation of Moneydance.

Hello,
Can you clarify which data appears to be correct? Your desktop of the mobile devices? (Or neither?) Which version of Moneydance are you running?
It's possible that you didn't copy over your latest version of your data file. If you're using windows, by default it is saved at C:\Users<username>.moneydance\Documents, although you may have moved it to a custom location.

Ethan,
I went ahead and manually updated my desktop. I was only missing a few transactions between 2/11 and today. I also had to delete and recreate my Dropbox connection but I am now back in business.
I didn’t think that creating a new Windows profile would break Dropbox. ☹
Thanks for your help!
David

Hi David,
A lot of the configuration settings for Moneydance and other programs are often profile specific, which can cause some confusion. For example, copying over those files to a new profile won't change the information in those files, such as where it is looking for your Dropbox sync folder, probably still in the original profile. I'd guess that's what was happening here. Resetting your sync was the correct decision, as that would have resolved that. I'm glad to hear things are sorted out!
Please let me know if I can be of further assistance,
Ethan
